Who can apply?
In this last Call the scholarships on offer are limited to
Undergraduate and Master students from Syria longing to study at an EU partner university.
Staff members from Syrian partner universities of the project longing to do a research, teaching or training exchange at an EU partner university.
Important alert to candidates who want to apply as degree seekers
The earliest starting date of the mobilities is September 2017. All scholarships will end at the latest on July 14th 2018, the official end date of AVEMAPCE +.
The scholarships for Bachelor and Master students are limited to 10 months. Applicants who would like to get a full degree at the European host university should take into account that the study programmes usually last a lot longer than this. The usual duration of Bachelor studies is minimum 6 semesters, of Master studies 4 semesters. Specific entry requirements may apply to degree seekers. Please refer to the website of the respective programme for detailed information. Due to the limited budget and the project end date on July 14th 2018 it wil not be possible to get additional funding under AVEMPACE +.
In order to be eligible, applicants:
1. Must have the Syrian nationality or Palestinian nationality with Syrian Travel Document;
2. Must have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses;
3. Must belong to one to the following target groups (Staff can only apply in Target Group 1):
Applicants who are registered as student or employee at one of the Partner Universities when applying to the programme.
Target Group 3
Applicants who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for example:
a) having a refugee status or asylum beneficiaries;
b) having a proof that they have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination:
c) belongin to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)
